Perched on the slopes of Beverly Hills, Trousdale emerges as a striking fusion of architecture and natural beauty, weaving the architecture into the terrain and embracing its coveted city views as the centerpiece of its design. The property’s existing landscape, defined by its rolling terrain and lush surroundings, posed both a challenge and an opportunity. To honor the unique site, the design integrates seamlessly with the slope, crafting a tiered arrangement where the basement serves as a garage and lounge space without disrupting the home’s visual harmony. Expansive glass facades frame the breathtaking cityscape, ensuring the vistas remain an ever-present backdrop to daily life.

The home’s spatial arrangement underscores its dual roles as a sanctuary and a gallery. With five bedrooms on the ground level and three on the first floor, the residence offers expansive communal areas and intimate retreats, each thoughtfully oriented to capture the views. Below, the basement is transformed into a collector’s haven, featuring a gallery-like car display and a lounge designed for entertaining guests.

Refurbished with a commitment to lightness and sophistication, Trousdale’s interiors feature a palette of washed oak finishes that balance warmth with contemporary refinement. This neutral base is enlivened by the homeowner’s collection of vibrant sculptures and paintings, infusing personality into the serene spaces. The transformation of this existing structure into a modern masterpiece showcases the designer’s ingenuity, turning constraints into opportunities to amplify the home’s connection with its surroundings and elevate the essence of Beverly Hills living.
